Women's Health Issues Interest Section begins its program year with a presentation about kidney health

Kidney disease is in the top ten leading causes of death in the U.S. Proper nutrition can be a key to the prevention of this disease. The Women's Health Issues Interest Section opened its year on October 6 with a presentation about kidney heath by  Donna E. Gjesvold RDN, LD Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from Hennepin Healthcare. The fact that 22 members attended the presentation at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Roseville is evidence that this is an important and timely topic.

On November 3, group members will get out on the floor at Tapestry Folkdance Center, 3748 Minnehaha Ave. in Minneapolis to try out some English Country Dance. The event begins at 1 p.m., and there are still some spaces left. Contact Interest Section leader Jill Griffin at  if you'd like to participate.
